Visited Ledang Heights last week. Really love that estate full of uniquely designed bungalows surrounded by greenery.
The bungalow we visited has a swimming pool that really adds to the serenity of the house. Everything seemed to be so perfect only to be found that the tile grout could’t dry and cure at quite a number of places in the pool. This was due to groundwater that managed to seep through into the pool (rising dampness).
Apart from containing the water in the pool, waterproofing system is required at the exterior of the sunken swimming pool to prevent penetration of groundwater into the pool.
Generally, cementitious waterproofing is the most stable material when being submerged for long period.
